The Process
Simple. Secure.
Transparent.
Casting a verified vote on VoteUSA takes less than two minutes. Here's exactly how it works.
Read the Question
Each active vote presents a single, clearly worded question about an issue facing the country. No spin, no leading language — just the question.
Verify Your Identity
Enter your full legal name, state of residence, and a valid U.S. driver's license or state ID number. This ties your vote to a real, verifiable identity and prevents duplicate submissions.
Cast Your Vote
Select YES or NO and submit. Your vote is recorded instantly. Each unique ID + state combination can only vote once per question.

Common Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
Is VoteUSA affiliated with the U.S. government?
No. VoteUSA is a fully independent civic platform. We are not affiliated with any government agency, political party, or special interest group.
How do you prevent people from voting more than once?
Each vote is tied to a unique combination of state and ID number. If the same ID number from the same state is submitted twice, the second submission is rejected. This makes duplicate voting effectively impossible without using someone else's identity.
Is my personal information safe?
Your ID number and last name are never displayed publicly. The public vote feed shows only your first name and state. Full voter data is accessible only to verified administrators.
What ID types are accepted?
We currently accept U.S. driver's licenses and state-issued ID cards. The ID must be from the state you select when voting.
Are these votes legally binding?
No. VoteUSA is a civic expression platform, not an official government election system. Our goal is to give Americans a direct, verified way to express their views — and to make those views visible to the public and to policymakers.
How often are new questions added?
New vote questions are added periodically. Sign up for notifications on the homepage to be alerted the moment a new vote goes live.
Can I change my vote after submitting?
No. Once a vote is submitted it is final. This mirrors the integrity standard of real elections.
Who can see my vote?
Your first name and state are visible in the public vote feed. Your full name, ID type, and ID number are only accessible to verified VoteUSA administrators and are never sold or shared.
